Summer!

I guess my summer has now begun. Making lists of things to keep me occupied until college resumes in September. Got some work experience starting in a couple of weeks, though, so there's not much chance of me being idle! And another little project came up yesterday that I can get stuck in to, which should be good.
Anyway, I screenprinted this bit of fabric months and months ago, but until this week hadn't got round to making it in to a cushion cover:

It's now listed on Folksy. Hopefully with a bit more time on my hands I can get some new things up on the shops. It was last summer that all that Etsy/Folksy malarky began, just to keep me busy over the summer, and it was possibly one of the best decisions I ever made!

Oh, and I got round to updating lucyplayer.com this week, as well :)

The finished project!

Last night's Private View of the end of year show went pretty well! I'm just sorting out the photos to upload, but in the mean time I thought I'd put up some images of my finished project.

In brief, it's a promotional pack designed for British Food Fortnight, to encourage people to be imaginative with British produce, and break traditions.

SEED Private View tonight!

After a busy day yesterday of wall-painting, shelf-putting-up, work-hanging etc. the Seed Exhibition is now up! And it's looking pretty special. Exciting stuff!

5pm-8pm tonight is the private view at South East Essex College, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and the show runs until the 26th May.

The exhibition showcases the Final Major Projects of 2nd Year BA (Hons) Graphic Design students, as well as projects from the 1st Years.

Details and previews of work can be found on the Seed blog.

Anyway, made this video so you can see the book 'in action', so to speak...

Hopefully you get the idea of mixing up traditional British food combinations to try something new and exciting! And if not, well...I'm doomed.

SEED

I'm sure there must be a way of viewing a video direct from this page, but for now you can click here to see the promo video for Seed, our end of year show at college.

It's open to the public from the 20th May, at South East Essex College, Southend-on-Sea, and will be showcasing the final major projects of 1st and 2nd year BA (Hons) Graphic Design students.

Exciting stuff! Just need to get the projects finished now...

Oh, and there's some samples of work in progress up on the Seed Blog, if you fancy being nosey.
