Playing with Learning

Just picked these up from the printers. A friend of mine asked me to create a visual identity for her company, to reflect the fun, cheerful nature of Playing With Learning. Applied this to business cards, compliment slips etc. and I'm pretty pleased with how it's turned out!

Sunday

The FINAL part of my college summer project was to hold a solo show of my work for friends and family. Yesterday was the day, and it was lovely! Pegged up various projects around the house, put my screenprinted t-shirts on the washing line etc. Cakes were eaten, Pimm's was drunk and a nice time was had (thanks so much to those who came!). And now my summer project is out the way and I can...move on to the dissertation research. Joy!

This Is Home

This is my submission for the This Is Home project, based on my favourite of the "Home is..." phrases sent in. I guess there's worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon than drawing a smiling bear...

For this one, my nan was the thing of interest.

T-shirts

Finally got my act together and printed a new t-shirt design. Listed on Etsy and Folksy.

Offshoot

A couple of weeks ago I answered a few questions for the lovely Melanie from Offshoot magazine, and issue 1 is now online! The whole mag looks great, and I'm pretty chuffed to be featured - so thanks very much Melanie!

And while I remember, my copy of Colouring Outside The Lines issue 5 came through the post a while back, featuring a little telephone drawing of mine. Good stuff :)

Leigh-on-Sea

Took my sketchbook and camera to Leigh-on-Sea this morning.

Norfolk

I headed up to Norfolk yesterday to see my Dad's new house. It's always nice to have a change of scenery as it means new things to photograph and draw. And I do like a bit of decay, so his new house was perfect.
