Breakfast & portfolio-love

So we've got to start our 2nd year final projects. It's self-directed and you write your own brief. I've gone for food & illustration. I'm not entirely sure where I'm going to head with it. Something to do with food and its consumers. To kick it off, I drew my breakfast this morning. I was considering doing this every day to build up a series, but I think it would be pretty dull ad repetetive. But maybe that would be the point. Hmm.

In other news, I was very excited when this package arrived this morning:

My beautiful new A3 red leather portfolio/display book! It's gorgeous. But I'm going to be so protective over it, making sure it doesn't get scratched. Maybe the odd scratch will just give it character. Yes.

Yay I did food and illustration for my 3rd year final major. It was fun and I ended up going down the food and ritual route. I made all sorts of food though, just to keep myself inspired and my friends at uni sweet! Hehe.

Hehe, well I'm hoping there's lots of options within the subject to explore. I already think about food way too much, and I feel this project is only going to make this worse! I was looking through cookbooks earlier to get quotes and inspiration, and it gave me some serious cravings...

Hi, I love the look of that portfolio, where did you get it from? Great work by the way.

Hey Tom. Cheers :) I got the folio from http://www.portfoliosplus.com/detail.aspx?productid=3764 - quite a lot cheaper than else where!

Thanks for the link Lucy - this is exactly what I've been looking for - for about 12 months now. You're much, much better than Google ;) xxxxxk
