food & emotion

There seemed to be a major lull in my blogging habits for a while, but lately I seem to have become blog obsessed. I also joined Twitter today (lucylikestodraw)... another form of procrastination I could probably do without. I feel pressured to become a vaguely interesting person, now. Rather than the person who has spoken only to the windowcleaner in the past 22 hours...

Anyway, my weekend of drawing has resulted in this little book. It's not a final piece or anything. I'm not entirely sure why I put so many hours in on finalising an idea when really I should still be in the experimentation stages... but nevermind, I quite enjoyed it. I'm just a sucker for bookmaking, and it's a nice way of collating a series like this.

I'm aware these foods don't represent 'the majority'. I conducted a small survey, asking some people what they tend to eat when feeling different ways. Was pretty interesting stuff! Some random answers. But that's the point of it, I guess - the individuality of it all.

These are lovely! Beautifully drawn and you're lettering is perfect! Nevermind about the jeans eh? Maybe if you've been eating a lot you might not fit into them anyway ;) I wonder what happened though? Maybe some naked person on the run had to grab them to save his/her diginity, or remains thereof...

Thanks very much! Haven't been doing all that much drawing lately, so it's been nice to throw myself in to it again. Ha, the idea of a naked person on the run is amusing me...I cant's actually think of any better explanations, though!

I like your food pairings in the post above, really good. You made me laugh when you said that you felt pressured to become a vaguely interesting person, very dry lol

Haha, cheers Lisa. Well I seem to have found enough to 'Tweet' about so far, but nothing of much interest!
